The Unsolved Murder of Joyce Malecki
More Than Fifty Years Later and Still No Answers
Joyce Malecki was a 20-year-old office worker employed by a local liquor distributor in Landsdowne, Maryland. On November 11, 1969, Joyce traveled to Glen Burnie to do some early Christmas shopping at Harundale Mall and meet up with a boyfriend who was stationed at Fort Meade for a date. She never showed up and was never seen alive again. The case was significant at the time because she disappeared only four days after a local nun named Catherine Cesnik was reported missing.
