Twenty years ago today, 31-year-old Dr. Sneha Anne Philip disappeared from New York City. Given the events of that day, her family believed her to be among the listed victims who perished in the terrorist attack on the twin towers, but since then, there have been questions as to whether she was ever there at all. At one point, her name was removed from the list, and then it was put back on it. Even her official date of death has changed.

After Sneha’s disappearance, two investigations were launched. The first one was at the behest of her husband, Ron Lieberman.
